Red obstruction lights are used to alert pilots to potentially dangerous obstructions in the vicinity of the helipad. The latest FAA advisory brief states that all obstruction lights must now be night vision goggle compatible.

The Obstruction lights are an economical way to mark the obstructions surrounding your heliport.
